Free Launch Bar is a replacement for the standard Quick Launch bar which includes additional features that include the ability to create groups for your shortcuts with the possibility of adding more links without using additional taskbar space. The application is really easy to use and the only thing you have to do to add, remove or rearrange shortcuts is drag and drop or right-click shortcut. The bar is fully compatible with Quick Launch because it uses the same folder for shortcuts. With this incredible program, instead of having an icon for each of your shortcuts, you can simply create a shortcut group which will bring up a menu with all items in that group, thus saving a lot space and everything will be very organized. Each shortcut group can have a custom icon and a brief description, as well as the option to have a hotkey to open the menu. There is also a paid version of the program which includes even more features. In short, if you are looking for a program to keep your icons in the taskbar organized with more functionalities than Quick Launch bar, Free Launch Bar will satisfy your needs.
It supports Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 Server.
HP Quick Launch Buttons allows the use of multimedia buttons on they keyboard.

Indeed, this free version is so fully featured that I didn't really need to pay for the 'full' version (called True Launch Bar) - but again it was so good that I actually upgraded just in order to pay for such a tremendous piece of work.
One great advantage of this utility over other similarly featured program launchers of which I'm aware is its minimal use of system resources, because it uses the native Quick Launch bar system, simply adding the most amazing range of functionality and configurability.
